A Rant: Shoot the Messenger or Ashamed to be in France for a moment

Someone was caught with their hands in the cookie jar. AGAIN.  Actually, it wasn't hands in a cookie jar. It was EARS on YOUR PHONE & INTERNET communications.  And is that certain someone that the ear belongs to apologetic?  Not that I can tell.  Instead, there is an international witch hunt for the messenger that spilled the beans. Someone with an intact sense of ETHICS and A LOT of BACKBONE.

Is that witch hunt sending the right message to your kids?  Someone who has the guts to speak the truth becomes an outcast?  Is that how you want your children to grow up?  Being nice well-behaved slime-balls that turn their heads if they see some injustice in the world?  Or, even better, help to bring a decent person "to justice"?
                                                                             PFUI !

BE PREPARED, because incidents like these set precedents. They present bad role models to your kids!

As if the above was not bad enough:  Apparently the Colombian president when in Moscow was careless enough to say (Careless? Guess in this world you have to watch what you say!) that the messenger would be welcome in his country.  Promptly, on his way back from Moscow to Bolivia, his plane was not allowed to fly over France and Portugal. WTF?  Might as well eat FREEDOM FRIES!
So the guy's plane had to land in Vienna and people apparently looked whether the messenger was on board!  Did they also check in the dirty laundry bag of the President of Columbia?  In his bathtub behind the shower curtain? Am I the only one finding this UTTERLY RIDICULOUS and ABHORRENTLY SAD?
And France had a part in that?  What happened to the GRANDE NATION and human decency?   All ancient history?

There is no emoticon that symbolizes SPITTING IN DISGUST ON THE FLOOR, is there?

I better not have a flat tire when I get to my bike later ;-)

  1. It took you 161 words before introducing the Hitler argument into you rant. I think that is about average for an internet rant...

    1. 1) I never used the H word (You actually counted the words? ;-) And it was beside the point; thank you!
      2) I took out 1 sentence (or 2?). Now my post still has the same substance, but your comment now has none.
      3) You being a mother, I'd have thought you'd resonate with very different paragraphs ;-)

As my grandpa always used to say: Wehret den Anfaengen!
